Worthy Brother Knights,
As we transition into the fall, it's crucial to reignite our efforts and build momentum for the fraternal year. The summer has given us a chance to recharge, and now it's time to dive back into the mission with renewed energy, working to continue Father McGivney’s vision during the 2024-25 fraternal year.
With the exciting announcements from the Supreme Convention in Quebec City, there's a fresh sense of purpose and direction.  This is a fantastic opportunity to invite others to join our mission and make a real impact in our communities.  Remember, the strength of our programs and charitable causes depends on the collective effort of our members.  We are on a Mission, and need new members added to our brotherhood, to help work on these programs while increasing our faith – HAVE YOU ASKED SOMEONE TO JOIN US ON OUR MISSION!  It’s up to you to ask and invite at least one new member to help us with our programs and charitable causes!  As the saying goes “Many hands make light work!”
So, let’s reach out and share Fr. McGivney’s vision with potential new members. Whether it's through personal conversations, community events, or outreach programs, each invitation is a step towards expanding our brotherhood and enhancing our impact. Have you identified someone who could benefit from joining us? Now is the perfect time to extend that invitation and grow our ranks.  Councils should be working on their fall membership drives at church and program events.
The Soccer Challenge being held by each council this month is a Great Opportunity for a council to invite men to join their council and help at events like this.
Let's work together to continue Father McGivney’s legacy and make a meaningful difference in the 2024-25 fraternal year.

National March for Life - Washington, DC – January 24th, 2025
https://marchforlife.org/national-march-for-life/
Please contact our State Pro-Life Chairman, Mike Velasco (prolife@indianakofc.org), for information on reserving your seat for the trip to the National March for Life – We need you to attend and help continue the March, since many States and politicians are working to continue abortions.  We Need your attendance, Reserve your seat NOW!
Ultrasounds
By working with the State Culture of Life Chairman, Mike Velasco, prolife@indianakofc.org, and using the approved channels, you help avoid delays and streamline the purchase and deployment of ultrasound machines.
We appreciate each council’s hard work to purchase the machines with the Supreme matching, but councils directly submitting to Supreme will delay the processing, since Supreme will send the information back to the State for approval, and it then the process goes through the same Indiana process for the machines.
Here’s a summary of the Ultrasound process to ensure everything is in order:

  1. Contact Mike Velasco: Reach out to the State Culture of Life Chairman at prolife@indianakofc.org to start the process. Mike is the go-to person for coordinating ultrasound machine purchases in Indiana.
  2. Follow the State Process: Submit your request and information through the state process rather than directly to Supreme. This avoids any potential delays and ensures your request is handled efficiently.
  3. Avoid Direct Submission to Supreme: Direct submissions to Supreme will result in delays as the information will be sent back to the State for approval, leading to a longer processing time.
  4. Expedite Your Purchase: By adhering to the state process, you’ll help expedite the purchase and deployment of the ultrasound machines, contributing effectively to the Culture of Life mission.

Thank you for your dedication to this important cause and for following the procedures to ensure we can save more lives through these crucial tools. Your cooperation makes a significant difference!  Thank you for your help in saving babies with all the Ultrasound Machines purchased!
Coats for Kids – Supreme Matching when ordered through the State
Here’s a summary of the process for participating in the Supreme Council's BOGO (Buy One, Get One – up to 50/50 matching) incentive for coats:

  1. Proposal Submission to Supreme by State: A representative from the State Council must submit a proposal to Supreme for review and approval before purchasing coats. Ensure your order is submitted to the State as soon as possible.
  2. Order Placement: Coats must be ordered through the State to qualify for the BOGO incentive. Orders placed by individual councils/assemblies/persons directly with Supreme or Knights Gear will not be eligible for the BOGO offer.
  3. Order Deadline: Orders must be placed before early October with the State to ensure delivery before the November 29th, 2024, Black Friday distribution.
  4. Pickup Information: Coats will need to be picked up from designated distribution points in advance of the Black Friday distribution.
  5. Contact Information:
    • To Place an Order: Contact the State Community Director, John Sandwell, at community@indianakoc.org for ordering and additional details.
    • Payment: Coats must be paid for in advance. Write checks to “Indiana State Council” with “Coats for Kids Payment” in the memo line. Send checks along with your council’s ordering information to the State Secretary, Bob Zielinski, at StateSecretary@indianakofc.org. Email Bob for the mailing address.
  6. Complete Proposals: Ensure all proposals and orders are complete. Incomplete submissions will not be approved.
  7. Please let us know if your council would like to be a distribution point for the coats – contact Community Director John Sandwell if you would like to be considered.

Summary:   ALL Orders must be place through John Sandwell with the Payments mailed to the State Secretary Bob Zielinski (Made payable to “Indiana State Council”) to be eligible for the BOGO Coats Program through the State/Supreme matching.  Additional Fees: Be aware that payment checks not received before the distribution may incur additional processing fees.
Following these steps will help ensure your order qualifies for the BOGO incentive and is processed efficiently for the Black Friday distribution.
FORMS
It's important to make sure all forms emailed are submitted in the required PDF format according to the State Program Guide.  Forms submitted in other formats like JPG, GIF, or PNG might not be accepted and could cause processing delays. If you need any help with converting files or have other questions, contact your District Deputy or the State Trainer, Mike Kovacs (trainer@indianakofc.org) or State IT-Admin, Roger Reuss (itadmin@indianakofc.org)!
