Faith in Action Community - Programs HERE - Resources HERE
One of the first things Councils should do at the start of the year is budgeting. Not just budgeting the finances but also the programs. It’s easy to go through last years programs and repeat them this year…and next year…
I would like to encourage you to not only do the important programs your council is known for but to also stretch your charitable muscles by adding something new. Maybe it’s a Wheelchair Sunday, or Coats for Kids. Perhaps it’s helping our disaster relief team. New programs, like new Brothers, excite the Brotherhood and that helps attract new men to join.
The Wheelchair Sunday is a simple and effective way to increase your visibility in the parish as well as giving the gift of mobility to those who need it desperately.
Once again we will be giving gift cards to the staff of Gibault at Christmas as a way of thanking them for all they do for the kids. Without cooks, teachers, janitors, etc. there would be no Gibault. I encourage each council to budget $100-$200 for this thank you.
If you would like more information on any of the programs mentioned above, feel free to contact me,
God Bless you all for everything you do in the Community
