Hello Worthy Brothers and Faithful Followers,
Bother Knights,
I am excited to begin my new role serving the state family as State Advocate. I do plan to jump into my role from day one. For
those that are not aware, the State Advocate responsibilities include legal maters concerning the state council, home
corporations being in compliance with Supreme and making sure councils’ Safe Environment Program status is in compliance with
the Office of Youth Protection.
Over the next month, I will be reviewing items in these three areas and formulating a strategic plan that will cover the entire fraternal
year. Councils and District Deputies can expect to receive separate email communications from myself as I work to ensure
the Indiana State Council is compliant and up to date.
With regards to Safe Environment Program, all new Grand Knights, Program Directors, Community Directors and Family
Directors in the state who are not compliant with the Safe Environment Training, will receive an email from Praesidium to
complete the required training. The email will be good for 45 days and it takes members somewhere between 30-90 minutes to
complete. I am asking all Knights who receive this email, to set time aside to complete the training. Community and Family
Directors are also required to pass a background check. For more details about compliance for councils, please review the link

With regards to Home Corporations, I will be reaching out to each council who has one on record and make sure records are up to
date. This would include ensuring that State and Supreme have the agreement paperwork on file for when a home corporation no
longer exists because a building was sold.
I look forward to working with councils and District Deputies in the upcoming months to make sure Indiana is among the top
jurisdictions when it comes compliance.
