Worthy brothers all, it is good that we are here.

First gentlemen, thank you. Thank you all for the hard work and long hours you have dedicated to the order, your councils and your districts. And thank you to your families for the many sacrifices they make so that you can continue to keep Father McGivney’s mission alive! It has not gone unnoticed.

“So what kind of a day has it been?” It’s time to look at the map and ask ourselves, “are we where we want to be?” or, more importantly, “are we where we need to be?” during our summer organizational meeting at Notre Dame I asked the question, “what’s your plan?” what’s your plan for your districts? What’s the plan for your councils? What’s your plan for building the order, building star councils, and building star districts? Are you bringing our Catholic brothers and their families closer to Christ? Are we leading by example and showing them what it means to be a servant leader. Remember as Knights we set the standard, we never chase it!

A review of the past several months reveals that we still have many things to accomplish. The banking transition and all that encompasses is taking longer than expected. We will keep the jurisdiction updated as we continue to move forward, but we are moving forward. Committee assignments are ongoing including several new chairman and directors. Communication throughout the state is still experiencing some growing pains but improves everyday. When once the last time you took an inventory of your council or district? It’s time.

Next, October is upon us And it is a busy month filled with Regional Meetings and Soccer Challenges. It is also Clergy Appreciation Month along with Holy Rosary Month. And don’t forget Columbus Day! Please review the calendar on the state website for details!

Lastly, our Winter Organizational Meeting will be December 4-6th on the Gibault campus in Terre Haute. Details to follow.

Gentlemen, your hard work is greatly appreciated! All I ask is is that you stay the course and continue to “Dent Your Armor!
