Ceremonies Chairman Jeff Gadbois
Brother Knights, as we all know 2020 has been a different year, unlike anything I have ever seen. It seems like everything has been turned inside out and upside down. Our council operations are no exception to that. Meetings, projects, and events have been very difficult to conduct, and that includes conducting our degree. I want to congratulate those councils that have been able to recruit during this difficult period. Indiana has about 250 new members this fraternal year, far below past years but at least it’s something. Good job!
Throughout this ordeal Supreme has been good enough to conduct regular virtual exemplifications for our benefit. It’s a little different but it does get the job done. However, they are discontinuing the practice, so we are going to pick it up for ourselves.
Beginning in January we plan to hold a virtual degree every third Tuesday, each month until they are no longer needed. They will take place at 8:00 pm eastern time, 7:00 pm central. Candidates will be able to take one of these the same as before.
As we get closer, we’ll advertise the log-in information. Please check the state website calendar for either this information or a link to it.
I hope every one of you and your families, stay safe and healthy. Keep practicing safety and let’s get this pandemic behind us.
